1. Hirers need to read and agree to terms and conditions stated below when booking the hall/s.
2. Any Party booking would need to be booked for three hours or more to include setting up and clearing away time.
3. You must be over 18 years of age to make a booking please and be present during the total hire.
4. One off parties and events can be booked on Saturday and Sunday daytime at least two weeks in advance. Weekday and evenings are reserved for our regular users. Please contact us to enquire about events outside these hours.
5. Charges stated are per hour and include use of the kitchen and outside areas (both halls share these facilities). To have exclusive use both halls must be booked.
Important Note:
The halls must be hired by persons who are 18 or over and must be present during the total hire.
Hirers who bring sharp knives down to the centre for cake cutting please ensure that they take these home with them.
Please read and agree to our terms and conditions at the time of booking. Note that any misuse or damage to the hall and its surroundings will result in additional penalty charges being levied on the hirer and we will pursue these through the small claims court system if necessary.
Candles and sparklers only to be used on outside veranda not in the hall/s and kitchen due to smoke detectors. Being a semi-rural setting a break in power supply may affect the fire alarms. They can be reset provided a Red Call Point, located by exit doors, has not been activated. Deliberate Activation of a Call Point will incur a reset/callout charge.
If you are intending to hire a bar that sells Alcohol for an event you will need to obtain a temporary events licence and this can take up to 3 weeks to be issued from the Cheltenham Borough Council and we need to display this for a week before the event.
By making a booking you consent to us making contact with you from the information you provide for the purpose of advising any matters that may arise in connection with your hire.
We may use this information to circulate to you general information about events at the Community Centre, but if you do not wish to be contacted after your hire please notify us.
Chairs/Tables may be taken from either store to make up numbers provided both halls are hired. Please return to the respective stores. Please stack chairs with fabric side out on trolleys – Stacking in this manner will reduce the size to help manoeuvring into the store.
Parties must be three hours or more to include setting up and clearing away, if halls are booked separately then there is a chance you will need to share the garden, kitchen and toilets with the other party. Exclusive use requires the whole building to be hired.
Children’s parties and events are bookable over two weeks in advance only on Saturday and Sunday daytime. Weekday and evening hires from 6.00pm are only for existing regular users.
