You will receive an email a few days before your booking detailing the key box codes, gate entry and advice on hiring the hall. The key boxes are found to the right of the entrance door.

Each hall has an allotted number of chairs and tables which are stored in cupboards located in the associated hall. The large hall has 12 large tables seating 8, and 90 chairs. In the small hall there are 10 small tables, 3 long narrow tables, and 30 chairs. There are no childrens sized chairs and tables available as these are owned by the Playgroup. The tables are around 1 metre square and 1 metre by 2 metres for the longer tables.

The kitchen is set up mainly for making refreshments and small scale cold buffet catering, we do not have the facilities for large scale heated catering. You can have a BBQ outside in the garden or covered area as long as it is a safe distance from the centre.

We have two fridges and a domestic cooker, a small tabletop freezer in summer months but no microwave facilities. In the kitchen we have a number of mugs, cups, saucers, plates, glasses and cutlery, mainly for the regular user groups.

It is recommended that for children’s parties that the user provides party tableware which can be disposed of. We do have an urn to make larger scale hot drinks but please make sure this is turned off after use and used with safety in mind.

No. If you are planning to serve alcohol with no purchase, or ‘bring-your-own’ then there is no requirement to have an alcohol licence. However, if you are planning to hire a bar or sell alcohol then you will be required to apply for a Temporary Event Notice from the Borough Council (Cheltenham Municipal Offices) at least a month prior to the event, and provide us with a copy at least two weeks prior in order for us to display this to the public at the Community Centre.

The height of the ceiling in the main halls is 3.75 metres (with some stage lighting hanging down) and the small hall is 2.60 metres, therefore if the bouncy castle is well below this height then this should be fine.

Yes, there is a lockable set of gates to the left of the building that give access to the secure back garden and tarmac area.

We have a separate disabled toilet facility and the whole community centre is on one level, therefore accessible to wheelchairs. The car park has designated disabled parking and the centre is easy access with no steps upon entry.

If you book only one hall and there is another party in the other hall you will need to share the hall’s facilities. Normally parties will take turns in the garden and kitchen so that when one is eating the other is playing and vice versa. If you want sole use of the centre then both halls will need to be hired.

You can add additional time but you will need to contact the Bookings Secretary at reddingsbookings@gmail.com to amend this.
